Kourites Red

It has bright ruby color and elegant nose that unfolds gradually. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, red plum and redcurrant are mixed with notes of tomato, cinnamon, allspice, oak and tea leaves. It has medium body, high acidity and medium but elegant tannins. On the palate the fresh juicy red fruit meets the subtle sweet spices on an earthy background. It has a long and spicy aftertaste.

Food Pairing: It can accompany red meat but also dishes of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine such as moussaka, caponata and pasta with rich sauces.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude of 400 meters, between the Pieria Mountains and Polyphytos lake. The altitude in combination with the excellent microclimate provide ideal conditions for the slow and perfect ripening of the grapes.
